This year's Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion was actually the first one ever run, as there was a name change to go along with last year's change in management. The former Historics are now the Reunion, but name change aside, the event was still the same old week of wheel-to-wheel racing action. Now we know that you can see that kind of action on any given Saturday or Sunday, but the players are usually much, much newer.
Classic and vintage race cars from every era of motorsports are what make this such a wonderful event. There are literally hundreds of your favorite classic race cars running in the nearly twenty classes of racing action. Legendary race cars like Ferrari SWBs and Lotus 23s, Porsche 962s and Trans Am Mustangs, Cobras and Vettes as well as F1 cars, Can-Am racers, NASCAR, Indy cars, and so on and so on. The classes take you from the under 1500 cc Minis up to the 1,000-horsepower 917Ks, with almost everything imaginable in between.

Rich Erath Asked:
Tom Says:
Now. Classic cars are continuing to increase in value. You should buy the best example you can buy for the money.
Anthony Smith Asks:
What does the car company “TVR” stand for?
Pheonix, Arizona
Believe it or not, it stands for Trevor. The name of the creator is TreVoR Wilkinson.
What was Porsche’s first car when the company opened?
South Dakota
Tom Says:
The Porsche 356 was the company's first production automobile. It was a lightweight and nimble handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2 door sports car available in hardtop and convertible configurations. The first 356s sold primarily in Austria and Germany. By the early 1950s the 356 had gained some renown among enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic for its aerodynamics, handling, and excellent build quality.
Reno, NV
Tom Says:
Although the original Hirschmann red tip antennas would very possibly have remained on dealer shelves until the mid-60's, the Porsche community has decided that 1964 is the cut off for proper installation of a red tip antenna.

North Georgia Jaguar Club Concours d’Elegance – Chattahoochee Country Club October 10, 2010 This is one of the biggest events which we have each year. In some prior years, we have had over 60 Jaguars and about 130 people for brunch. The objective is to have a delicious brunch, socialize with fellow enthusiasts in a pleasant setting and enjoy looking at beautiful Jaguars. This can happen only if you and your Jaguar are there; so dust off your cat and plan to attend. Your car does not have to be perfect for you to attend. In fact, it adds to the day if there are cars in varying conditions on hand. If you register for “Display Only,” everyone can enjoy seeing your car without it having to be judged. The Chattahoochee Country Club is located on Lake Lanier just off Highway 60 which connects Gainesville and Dahlonega. For more information about the Concours see here |

1. Drain the petrol. If you do not, then add a few drops of additive so your gasoline in the tank will not break down or go bad and cause problems to the carburetors or fuel pump. Marvell Mystery Oil is an amazing product and you'll find it works wonders. To add oil to the gas, put a small amount into the cylinders.
2. Disconnect the battery. If it is very cold, remove the battery completely and place on a trickle charger.
3. Place your vehicle on jack stands. This will save your tires from getting a flat spot from sitting. If you don't have access to a stand then slightly over inflate the tires to compensate for the amount of time they won't be in use.
4. Make sure the car has plenty of anti-freeze.
5. Keep your classic in a dry environment; if possible a climate controlled one. Never store a car on the dirt. When wet it can cause rust. Always try to park your car on the pavement.
6. Finally, give her one last polish, put a car cover on, say your goodbye, and put her away until you are ready to take the scenic route again.
