1954 JAGUAR XK-120 FHC

CLIENT RESTORATION UPDATE

Back in the 1950s, people did not order competition-built Jaguars from the factory. This was very unusual to take place. The original owner who was an Aerospace Engineer ordered the car from the Hornburg Jaguar Dealership. He enjoyed the car up until very recently when Classic Showcase acquired the car. We then sold the XK-120 to a Jaguar collector who commissioned us to perform a comprehensive show-level restoration with performace and comfort improvements, in order to rally and show the car. It is quite amazing that this example has had only 2 owners since new!  Chassis Number S681469 is a significant car in Jaguar’s history as one of ten ex-factory delivered 9:1 CR LHD FHC XK120s. We are aware of only two others that survived - Chassis Numbers 679841 & S681452. Stay tuned to our Winter Newsletter for further updates on the conclusion of this outrageous build of this historic Jaguar!
