Classic Showcase has been commissioned by a collector to create a one of kind jaguar, he had a specific goal in mind when he contacted us to see if we were interested in performing this special kind of build.
Some people call this a resto mod, we call it “modified, but highly improved”, and something that Jaguar might have considered when the automobile was first designed.
The look of the exterior will be close to the stock look. The exterior color selection brings a more modern look and compliments the two-tone interior look that he created.
He chose bolt-on wire wheels in a wider size than original to give a nice footprint on the road. Improving the hydraulic system, cooling, transmission type and features were very important to this special build.
The seats that he selected come from an XJS and are power-operated. The interior headliner is a special material that goes well with the leather covers that were used. Wilton Wool carpet with heavy insulation such as Dynamt was also used.
Flush-mounted speakers on the rear package tray with no grills – just perforated panels; by putting the speakers in the rear package tray, a “sound chamber” is created in the trunk, enhancing the dynamic range of the speakers. and adding to that will be a modern stereo system with amp and multiple speakers installed throughout the panels up front, keyless entry and an alarm system.
The engine has larger pistons, new harmonic balancer, Weber carbs, a gear reduction starter, headers, a modern A/C system (adapted to the original console, LED lighting throughout the vehicle, an additional rear-end sway bar, a custom-made Alloy radiator, improved steering rack with new power steering, and all new wood finished in the interior. When this special built car is completed, the collector will have an incredible and highly unique, one-of-a-kind XJ6C which has been personalized to his liking.
