Muckenthaler Motor Fest & Concours

The Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival is a two-day event featuring Hot Rods, Customs and Low Riders on Saturday, May 20th; and Concours D’ Elegance Vehicles and Vintage Travel Trailers on Sunday, May 21st. These beautiful, rare automobiles and trailers were displayed on the 8 rolling acres of lush lawn and aged trees at the
Muckenthaler Mansion.

This wonderful Motor Car Festival is the premier fundraiser for the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. For more than 23 years now, the festival has raised funds to enrich and improve the lives of children through arts and education programs through the Muckenthaler Foundation. It is the strong relationship between the community and the Center that makes the Motor Car Festival possible. The annual affair has brought in thousands
for charity and is looking to the future to increase its success and continue its generous tradition. The Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival is an invitation only event dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Southern California’s automotive history. The judging staff of the Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival seeks to recognize those vehicles that demonstrate the best originality and authenticity while valuing design, styling and elegance.

Bright, warm, and with a sweet spring breeze, it was the perfect weather for a concours at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. As usual, the Jaguar Club members were parked in their favorite spot under the trees. Throughout the park there were exceptional cars, not only Jaguars, but many other remarkable examples of various marks that displayed their owner’s passion, and dedication to the hobby. This year’s Muckenthaler Concours was bigger than ever, with more food vendors, sponsor booths, craft beer, all which was complimented with a sextuplet of musicians playing Big Band era music from the outdoor amphitheater that could be heard throughout the whole venue, adding an elegant ambiance to the day.
