A display of ten race cars driven by Paul Newman headlined the 350 classic and collector cars on show at the eighth annual San Marino Motor Classic this year.

Newman, who died 10 years ago aged 83, was a Hollywood star and a legendary team boss in American Racing. Having driven at Le Mans in 1979 where he finished second overall and won his class in a Porsche 935, he went on to become the oldest ever class winner at the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona – aged 70.

Tom Krefetz, of Classic Showcase, took his freshly restored 1961 Jaguar E-type Roadster (with outside bonnet latch) and was proud to have won First place in class!! We are very excited as that was the third 1st place win for this very rare piece of Jaguar history.
