This spectacular, performance-minded 1963 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe was originally restored and built by our team at Classic Showcase over 14 years ago and was recently bought by a collector. The performance Coupe has been shown in many concours events and driven in several rallies over the years and had been kept in climate control storage here at Classic Showcase.
Improvements to the E-Type included:
• Installed a 5-speed transmission.
• Removed the 4.2 seats and added restored early 1963 seats
for a Coupe in the same leather as the interior.
• Added and installed 3-point lap seatbelts.
• Installed halogen night lights in the bonnet.
• Added an early Jaguar logo on the bonnet.
• Added a motif bar to the bonnet.
• Installed a Retrosound Bluetooth stereo system, and a
mid-range bass tweeter power amplifier.
• Added a 15-inch Motolita steering wheel.
• Eliminated the seat tracks and replaced with a wood wedged spacer to rake the seat back to give more legroom,
then permanently mounted both at the farthest position to achieve maximum comfort.
• Fabricated mounting brackets and polished, and installed a leather bonnet strap lockdown.
• Installed a permanent, hidden battery tender, which makes access for plugins easier.
• Installed (4) new 205/70/15 Vredestein period-correct tires.
