Description
(SOLD) This 1971 Fiat 850 Sports Bertone coupe is a stylish and attractive entry level Italian sports car. As one of the more interesting Fiat models produced in the early 1970s, the Bertone Coupe is a sister to the 850 Spider, and full of unmistakable charm. More recently, professionals at Classic Showcase performed a comprehensive servicing, along with a complete cosmetic detail inside and out. Special features with this model include: 4 speed transmission, a performance exhaust system, wooden steering wheel, full instrumentation, bucket seats, center console, and a rear storage area in the cockpit. If you're looking for an affordable, entry level classic with unique Italian styling that is full of charm and a joy to drive, this 850 Sport Bertone Coupe should be the example you're looking for!
History
Introduced in 1964, the Fiat 850 came in many flavors. From a roadster to a small van, there was a model for nearly every taste and lifestyle. A very limited edition of this model have ever been built and just a few are known to survive after 40 years. Designed by Carrozzeria Bertone, similar Bertone Racer Coupes were raced in the Monte Carlo Rally. Giuseppe Bertone, called "Nuccio", (July 4, 1914, Turin, Piedmont – February 26, 1997, Turin) was a famed automobile designer and constructor. He took over Carrozzeria Bertone from his father, Giovanni after World War II, growing the small business to a car building and designing powerhouse.
