Finished in an attractive and timeless red exterior over a black interior, this classic E-Type delivers the unmistakable style, performance, and road presence that have made these Jaguars one of the most celebrated sports cars ever produced.
The Roadster’s ownership history shows the E-Type was originally delivered to its first owner on April 27th, 1967, the Jaguar remained under his care for nearly fifty years before being purchased by its current owner in 2016. Over the decades it has been maintained with care and respect, allowing it to remain an honest and well-presenting example today! Long-term ownership history such as this is becoming increasingly difficult to find among surviving E-Types.
Today, this Jaguar represents a fantastic driver-level example that is ready to be enjoyed immediately. It offers the engaging driving character that made the E-Type famous and is perfectly suited for weekend drives, touring events, and local shows. Its attractive Red & Black color combo and strong overall presentation make it an ideal entry into E-Type ownership for the new enthusiast seeking a Jaguar that can be driven, appreciated, and shared.
First introduced in 1961 and famously described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful car ever made, the Jaguar E-Type remains one of the most iconic sports cars in automotive history. For many enthusiasts, this is exactly the type of E-Type ownership experience they are seeking: a clean, honest example that can be driven and enjoyed without the worry that often accompanies fully restored concours examples. The E-Type includes an owner’s manual and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate of Authenticity and is ready for its next caretaker to experience the timeless appeal of one of Jaguar’s greatest creations!

History
The Jaguar E-Type Roadster presented here is a late 1967 model, and is one of the few Jaguar E-Types that are today popularly known as Series "1 1/4" and "1 1/2" cars, as they utilize the open headlight bonnets but are otherwise are very similar to the Series I cars retaining the very favorable 4.2 liter engine. Inspiration from the D-Type is unmistakable, as the Jaguar E-Type had a monocoque passenger compartment, a tube framed engine bay and a tilting hood. The XKE had four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes with the rear discs fitted next to the differential to reduce unsprung weight and, most importantly, fully independent suspension on all four wheels.
