1967 JAGUAR E-TYPE

CLIENT RESTORATION

CHASSIS No. 1E34290

Fall 2022 Update

Welcome to our latest update on this exciting, performance minded, modified E-Type client restoration! The Coupe is inching closer and closer to completion, with continued advancements every day. About the car: in 2021, a new collector client of ours with several classics already in his collection commissioned us to perform a customized restoration to a 1967 Jaguar XKE Fixed Head Coupe he previously purchased. The client enjoys not only collecting classics, but driving them as well, and sought to have not only a comprehensively restored example, but one that would feature a number of unique aesthetic enhancements as well as performance upgrades from his wish lists.

LATEST UPDATES

The build on this 1967 Fixed Head Coupe is coming along nicely. Our team has run into several challenges making some of the aftermarket non-original parts that the owner requested to be fit and operate correctly; but the team is meeting these challenges head on and are overcoming these minor issues and persevering with the restoration.

Regardless of difficulties, the team continues to make progress on this spectacular Coupe, and just recently installed the car's air conditioning system...this XKE originally did not include air conditioning, but the owner requested, and our team obliged. This was a laborious task in that the A/C system needed to be installed and configured first before installing many of the car's other interior components, including the dash and stereo. Speaking of which - the E-Type will also receive a fully modernized stereo system with the addition of a high-quality Digital Radio equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, custom-mounted auxiliary amplifier mounted behind the glovebox on the firewall, and (6) speakers with no grills but perforated panels our trimmer created to achieve a tidy, custom look - all custom fit and tailored especially for the car; the trimming of the interior was highly specialized.

BODY WORK & ASSEMBLY

The body work on the Coupe is mostly finished, with some finishing touches remaining on the Bonnet - which has been completely repainted, wet sanded and buffed, and outfitted with all new hardware before being joined to the monocoque. On the mechanical side, the engine and all of its components have already been built, tested, and installed, and all remaining systems are being dialed in to ensure optimal power and performance while other aspects of the car's restoration and setup are addressed.

Stay tuned to our Winter 2022 newsletter for the exciting conclusion to this very special modified E-Type Coupe!
