A CLASSIC SHOWCASE RESTORATION
This 1967 Jaguar E-Type was a driver-level car we purchased in 2021. It is a numbers-matching example with a desirable color combination and more importantly, an example with a history of limited ownership. As such, this complete core car example proved to be an excellent candidate to take to our show/driver level. Our team has strived to keep this XKE as original as possible, but decided to change the exterior color by repainting it to a desirable and beautiful shade of Opalescent Silver Blue with a new Dark Blue interior - creating a truly stunning look to an already flawlessly designed sports car!
Included in the restoration: a bare metal, rotisserie restoration where the car has been metal finished, leaded, with all body parts fitted to the car and chrome, prepared for primer, sealer, paint, base, clear, color sanded and buffed to a fabulous finish. All mechanical components have been rebuilt back to factory specifications, including the engine, transmission, rear end, and suspension, while other areas of the car have been meticulously gone through during the restoration. The Coupe’s fuel, electrical, cooling, and hydraulic systems have also been fully restored, along with re-plating the XKE’s chrome where needed. The XKE is also receiving a new custom tailored and fit interior in the correct materials by our master trimmer in our upholstery department. This XKE is scheduled to be completed before Winter and will be ready just in time for the Spring 2023 campaign season, where it is sure to shine on any show field it enters!
