RM Sotheby’s reported more than $107 million in total sales , with 74 percent of all lots sold. Despite shifting market conditions observed throughout the auctions this year, RM Sotheby’s experienced some great sales achieved for the more exceptional collector cars over the course of the three-day Monterey sale, including several new world records. Their top lot of the auction, and the most valuable car sold during Monterey Auto Week was a 1994 McLaren F1 “LM-Specification”, thought to be the world’s most famous modern supercar, selling for a staggering $19,805,000, which set a new auction record for Ferraris sold. The prized example sold to a private collector in the United States.
