SAN DIEGO JAGUAR CLUB
CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE

Spanish Landing Park, San Diego, CA July 13, 2019

The 2019 SDJC JCNA Sanctioned Concours d Elegance was a great success! This was their first year at Cancer Survivor’s Park on Spanish Landing. The change of location was not nearly as stressful as they thought it would be because the field is much larger than the west side, and it was much easier to put all the judged Jags in three rows. All the Display Only Jags were stationed between the monuments and the street, lining them all up, side to side, so everyone driving by on Harbor Drive could see and appreciate them.

This year they did away with the pewter plate trophies and instead went for the custom-made acrylic trophies that really stood out and made a statement. Each trophy came with a custom-made nameplate and were sent out as soon as they were finished.

The sound DJ, Jonathan Mendoza, did a phenomenal job. His sound system is so clean and crisp everyone could understand everything everyone said into the mic. There were many compliments on his music choices as well.

The set-up crew, parking staff, hospitality staff, judges, and the many other members who volunteered their time and energy to make it all happen did a phenomenal job. The members of the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and Virginia Clubs not only provided entrants, but also provided judges to help keep the judging schedule on time and task. While it was a lot of work to put on this show, it was very rewarding to see the results. There was a total of 69 entrants, 36 of them judged and 33 for display.
