International Concourse de Elegance
Jaguar Club Mexico

APRIL 2023

The recently concluded Gran Concurso Internacional De Elegancia - owned and organized by Club Jaguar Mexico once again proved to be a remarkable spectacle! The Mexican Jaguar Club as well as the Concours are sanctioned by the Jaguar Club of North America. The Concours is held at the picturesque venue of "Las Caballerizas" (The Stables) in Dos Rios, Huixquilucan, situated at an impressive elevation of approximately 8,200 feet. The event has solidified its position as the largest car gathering in Mexico, and draws many other regional classic car clubs and collectors from all over North America, and has truly become one of Mexico's finest automotive events! The event usually kicks off on Thursday, with a Jaguar Clubs of North America "judges training session", aimed at familiarizing participants with recently adopted rules from the JCNA's "Annual General Meeting".

Located just a short 45-minute drive from Mexico City, Las Caballerizas offers a breathtaking setting adorned with fragrant pine trees, invigoratingly fresh air, abundant sunshine, and majestic mountains that serve as a fitting backdrop to showcase the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail present in the diverse array of new, as well as classic automobile marques on display. This venue, boasting over a century of history, adds a distinct charm and heritage to the occasion, while the journey to reach it is a delightful sensory experience in itself, with enchanting towns, quaint villages, and winding country roads dotting the route. Year after year, it continues to captivate North American enthusiasts, offering a unique fusion of elegance, artistry, and automotive passion that leaves an indelible mark on all who attend!

Tom Krefetz of Classic Showcase typically attends the annual event, but was unfortunately unable to attend this year's Concours due to a scheduling conflict with the La Jolla Concours in San Diego County, CA, where he had campaigned several cars in competition; However, Pete Reith, a former chief judge for the San Diego Jaguar Club graciously filled in for Tom. We hope you enjoy the galleries of some of the winning vehicles below, and look forward to next year's event!
