Work continues on this 1963 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk II, a comprehensive restoration project being completed for a longtime client who previously entrusted our team with the restoration of his 1959 MGA. Since our last update, the Healey has advanced considerably from the bodywork and panel-fit stages documented in our Summer newsletter and is now well into the assembly phase.
With the major body restoration and refinishing work completed, our team has been steadily reinstalling the many restored, rebuilt, and refinished components that make up the finished automobile. As with any restoration of this scope, this stage requires considerable care and patience as systems, trim pieces, hardware, electrical components, and mechanical assemblies are methodically returned to the car. Each component is checked for proper fit and function as the Healey gradually transitions from a freshly restored body into a complete automobile.
The interior portion of the project has also made substantial progress. The upholstery components have now been completed, allowing the cabin to move toward its finished configuration as assembly continues. The restored interior will complement the Healey Blue exterior while maintaining the classic character and appearance that make the Austin-Healey 3000 one of the most recognizable British sports cars of its era.
Mechanical assembly is also progressing throughout the chassis and engine bay. The rebuilt engine remains one of the next major components to be fitted as the restoration advances, followed by the system checks and final sorting that will come as assembly approaches completion.

Building a Healey for the Road Ahead
The owner's original vision for the project remains unchanged: a beautifully restored Austin-Healey that preserves the character of the original car while incorporating carefully selected improvements aimed at reliability, drivability, and long-term enjoyment. With assembly now progressing throughout the car, AH63-413 is beginning to take on its finished form, and we look forward to sharing another update as this exciting restoration approaches completion.
