British car owners and enthusiasts gathered at Tidelands Park in Coronado on Sunday, September 13 for the 2026 San Diego British Car Day. Presented by the San Diego British Car Club Council, the annual showcase brought together an impressive cross-section of British motoring, with Jaguars, MGs, Triumphs, Austin-Healeys, Minis, Rolls-Royces, Land Rovers, Aston Martins and other marques displayed throughout the waterfront park. The event has been a San Diego tradition since 1980 and remains a favorite gathering for owners, club members and enthusiasts from throughout the region.

Tom Krefetz attended this year’s event with his personal modified 1962 Jaguar E-Type Roadster. Built and comprehensively restored by Classic Showcase, the recently completed E-Type is finished in metallic silver over dark blue leather and incorporates a carefully selected group of performance and aesthetic upgrades. Tom displayed the Jaguar alongside the other E-Types and Jaguars in attendance, and by the conclusion of the show his Roadster had earned Best in Class honors — a particularly satisfying result for such a recently completed build.

British Car Day once again provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow collectors and enthusiasts while enjoying a broad variety of British automobiles against one of San Diego’s most picturesque waterfront settings. We congratulate Tom on another memorable outing with the E-Type and were pleased to see the Classic Showcase-built Jaguar receive such a warm response from the British-car community.
