1957 Jaguar XKSS: The history of the XKSS begins
with Jaguar's three glorious consecutive victories at Le Mans in 1955,
1956 and 1957 with the almighty D-Type. After this 'hat-trick' of
triumphs, on 14 January 1957 Sir Williams Lyons makes the decision to
convert the remaining 25 D-TYPE vehicles into road versions with several
external modifications, which meant the creation of the world's first
super vehicle, the XKSS.
Experts consider the XKSS to be the world's
first super vehicle, as it is a vehicle derived directly from a winning
race car like the D-Type. This model was a key point in Jaguar's history
and is a vehicle widely sought after by collectors, as only 87 units
were manufactured in its different variants
1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302: In 1968, Ford hired Larry Shinoda, designer of the famous Corvette Sting
Ray and Chevrolet Corvair, to create the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, a
staunch rival of Chevrolet Camaro. It is vehicle 302 was designed on the
platform of the Mustang "SportRoof" and eliminated the air intakes from
the back of the Mach 1 Fastback and so the Boss 302 was left with a
distinctive exterior look, a sports front grill, decorative rays on the
hood and sides.
He is remembered for his performance on the
racetracks and has become a legend among the car cars. Only 1,628 units
were manufactured, making it a true icon of the golden age of American
sports and, of course, the history of the Mustang.
