1956 FORD F100 PICKUP

In our last issue we gave you an update on this ongoing custom build our team has been working on – this client commissioned 1956 Ford F100 custom restoration.

LATEST UPDATES

Since our last newsletter, our team has installed and completed all work on the truck’s upholstery and has also installed a radiator and an overflow tank, along with the installation of a power boost assist tank to the truck’s braking system. The team has also lowered the truck’s bed, and have custom-fitted oak boards with stainless steel runners and custom alloy polished trim; we will then give it a light stain that is similar in appearance to the body of the truck. Afterward, we will clear coat everything to protect, seal, and finish the wood to give it the nice finish it deserves; then we will reinstall everything – including the tailgate and hood, before finally charging the truck’s air conditioning system.

Our technicians have taken the F100 on the street near our headquarters and have conducted a few test runs and continuously tweaking mechanicals to achieve the best results. The F100 is somewhat of “smart truck” that also has a number of computers on board that will work in conjunction with apps on the owner’s smartphone and tablet devices, where shifting controls and behaviors can be adjusted with ease. The Ford Truck is scheduled to be completed soon, and just in time to take part at the 21st annual Meguiar's Del Mar Nationals in Del Mar, CA on April 1-3, 2022! Stay tuned to our Summer newsletter to see the conclusion of the restoration to this special build, and to see how it did at its first showing!
