1963 JAGUAR XKE FHC

CLIENT RESTORATION

About THE RESTORATION

A collector client of ours that has purchased several E-Types has commissioned us to have one of them – a 1963 XKE Coupe - restored to his exact specifications but maintaining a mostly stock build. We have restored and sold several other vehicles for the client and were happy to take on another project for his ever-growing collection.

PRE-RESTORATION

The example proved to be a good, matching-numbers original California car – a truly great candidate for a high-level restoration. Our team received the car, and immediately got to work by disassembling the XKE and then taking it to a bare metal state before performing metal work, and finally wet sanding and buffing the car to the glossy Black finish you see in the photos today...

BODYWORK GALLERY

The collector chose an exterior color of Black but has yet to choose a special color for the interior of his E-Type. As such, the team has focused on other areas of the restoration, namely the body and paintwork, as well as performing restorative work on the mechanicals. Once the client decides on the right interior color for his E-Type, the team will resume assembly efforts to the car, so stay tuned to our Summer newsletter for an update to this sleek, Black 1963 Jaguar E-Type Coupe!
