1964 Jaguar
Series 1 XKE OTS

This special XKE is close to completion, and the finished Coupe will be featured in our Fall 2020 newsletter...This is a very special build for a special car that has been in the process of restoration around our client projects in our shop for the last few years. Read more about the Coupe's restoration below.

This early E-Type Fixed Head Coupe has had its wheel wells flared, front and rear bumpers removed with welded-in lines, and the gas door has been replaced by a high volume pop-up chrome gas fill locking assembly.

The Coupe is fitted with a new aluminum bonnet, and we have fabricated a specially produced recessed driving light assembly not only for functionality, but for a tremendous look. To top this off, the color scheme is a light Metallic Green (which you may have seen on the early Aston-Martin racing cars), with a complimenting Suede Green interior. We chose this color combination because it is something Jaguar should have offered back in the 1960s, and just gives the car a very special look and feel. Which is then complimented by its awesome performance and smooth handling.

Although this is not an official Jaguar color, we chose it because it gives the car a very special look and feel, which is then complimented by its awesome performance and smooth handling.

Under the bonnet, the Coupe is powered by a 3.8 Liter engine with 10:1 pistons, mild Cams, a machined crank, a lightened flywheel, and a proper harmonic balancer.

The Coupe also features Triple Weber carburetors, along with a set of stainless-steel custom Headers, and a 2-inch free-flow exhaust system from Classic Fabs, whom we are a dealer for. In addition, the XKE has received an Alloy Radiator with auxiliary fan, a spin-on oil filter, a Mallory electronic ignition and coil, and sound deadening inside the car, along with a Retrosound digital stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.

Also included on the build, is a new, fully-synchronized short-shift 5-speed transmission, for enhanced driving pleasure and freeway driving, a gear reduction starter, and a high output battery.

The Coupe has also received a set of Dunlop D-type wheels with Dunlop 205/70/15 tires to add to the overall presentation of this very special E-type. Be sure to check out our Fall 2020 newsletter to see the completion of this exciting, one of a kind, special E-Type!
