Internationally recognized for its excellence, the Grand International Concours d'Elegance brings together automobile lovers every year and welcomes the public who appreciate high-class social events. International judges are responsible for evaluating each piece, to distinguish and award them. Attendees live a unique and unforgettable experience; In addition to the historical exhibition, automotive industry companies present their new models. The Concours takes place at the Las Caballerizas Restaurant in the municipality of Huixquilucan in the State of Mexico.
During the two days of activities, the public will appreciate a mosaic of colors, designs and technologies, made up of 450 historic vehicles in unbeatable conditions of presentation and originality. Musical events, fashion shows, tributes and special presentations complement this annual event.
The Grand International Concours of Elegance culminates when the best European car and the best American car are awarded, one of these two being selected by the international judges as the Best of Show. The recently concluded
Gran Concurso Internacional De Elegancia - owned and organized by Club
Jaguar Mexico once again proved to be a remarkable event! The
Mexican Jaguar Club as well as the Concours are sanctioned by the Jaguar
Club of North America. The Concours is held at the picturesque venue of
"Las Caballerizas" (The Stables) in Dos Rios, Huixquilucan, situated at
an impressive elevation of approximately 8,200 feet. The event has
solidified its position as the largest car gathering in Mexico, and
draws many other regional classic car clubs and collectors from all over
North America, and has truly become one of Mexico's finest automotive
events! The event kicks off on Thursday, with a Jaguar Clubs of
North America "judges training
session", aimed at familiarizing participants with recently adopted
rules from the JCNA's "Annual General Meeting".
Located
just a short 45-minute drive from Mexico City, Las Caballerizas offers a
breathtaking setting adorned with fragrant pine trees, invigoratingly
fresh air, abundant sunshine, and majestic mountains that serve as a
fitting backdrop to showcase the meticulous craftsmanship and attention
to detail present in the diverse array of new, as well as classic
automobile marques on display. This venue, boasting over a century of
history, adds a distinct charm and heritage to the occasion, while the
journey to reach it is a delightful sensory experience in itself, with
enchanting towns, quaint villages, and winding country roads dotting the
route. Year after year, it continues to captivate North American
enthusiasts, offering a unique fusion of elegance, artistry, and
automotive passion that leaves an indelible mark on all who attend!
Tom Krefetz and the team from Classic Showcase usually attend the
annual event, but were unfortunately unable to attend this year's
Concours due to a scheduling conflict with the
La Jolla Concours in San Diego County, CA. However, Pete
Reith, a former chief judge for the San Diego Jaguar Club graciously

The 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby is an iconic model in American automotive history and has significant importance in the evolution of the Mustang as a high-performance car. It was introduced in 1964 as a "pony car" and quickly became a success. Carroll Shelby, the famous racer and car designer, teamed up with Ford to create high-performance versions of the Mustang. The 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby has become a classic car highly sought after by collectors. It has appeared in numerous films and television shows, such as "Gone in 60 Seconds," where a Shelby GT500 nicknamed "Eleanor" is a centerpiece of the story.
The 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Cabrio is part of the Ferrari 250 family, one of the most iconic and respected in the history of the Ferrari brand. Known as "Series II", it was designed and built by the famous Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina. The Ferrari 250 GT Cabrio Series II was introduced in 1959 and manufactured until 1962. It emerged at a time when Ferrari was expanding its range of grand touring and luxury vehicles to appeal to a broader clientele. Equipped with Ferrari's iconic 3.0-liter V12 engine, designed by Gioachino Colombo. Depending on configuration, the engine could produce around 240 horsepower. Approximately 200 units of the Ferrari 250 GT Cabrio Series II were manufactured, making it a fairly rare model and coveted by collectors today.
