1971 Jaguar XKE
Series 3 2+2

This 1971 Jaguar Series 3 E-Type 2+2 is a 2 owner from new original California Blue-Plate car, and a nice daily driver level example that is ready to be enjoyed now. The E-Type features an attractive exterior color of Silver, complimented by a sleek and tidy Black interior. The 1971 XKE V12 is one of the most sought-after of the Series 3 XKEs with the later-produced 1971 models producing the most horsepower available in the series. The 2+2 was purchased when new by an airline pilot, who routinely maintained and serviced his pride and joy; pilots are known to be meticulous and dedicated to the maintenance of their vehicles like no other. He enjoyed the car for many decades before passing it on to his grandson, who judiciously kept up maintenance by having the same team of technicians at Carlsbad British Motorcars of Carlsbad, CA perform regular service to the Jaguar. Classic Showcase recently acquired the E-Type from the family, and has performed numerous services, and aesthetic improvements to many facets of the XKE. We started by inspecting the overall condition of the vehicle, then mapped out what we intended to do to take the car to a higher level.

1973 Jaguar XKE
Series 3 Roadster

This British Racing Green 1973 Series 3 E-Type Roadster has resided in a collection for many years, where it was driven, enjoyed, and maintained by its long-term owner. After his passing, he left the XKE to his daughter, who shared many great memories of riding in the car with him during her childhood. While cherishing those moments, she didn’t share the type of passion and dedication that went into the car under her father’s ownership. So, in the best interests of her father’s pride and joy, she set out to find a great source to not only restore the car, but to ensure that it went to an E-Type collector that would be just as passionate about the car as her father was. After exploring many options, she was comfortable in having the team at Classic Showcase restore, and then find the Roadster’s next home. After acquiring the car, we evaluated it from top to bottom, and set out to perform a cosmetic & mechanical restoration, along with a full service by the team at Classic Showcase.

1961 Jaguar E-Type
Series 1 O.B.L. Roadster

This spectacular numbers-matching BRG over Tan 1961 XKE outside bonnet latch roadster was fully restored by Classic Showcase in 2007. These first generation E-Types offer some of the most sought-after features like flat floors and welded louvers. This example has traveled only 1,550 miles since it’s restoration, and has recently been serviced. It is car #180 in early E-Type production history, is a California car, and presents simply wonderful today. The rotisserie restoration included: a complete, documented disassembly, with the body fully worked, metal finished, fitted, and leaded, with all body parts & chrome fitted to the car; it was primed, sealed, and had a base & clear coat applied, finally color sanding & buffing to a beautiful finish. All systems were gone through and restored/replaced as necessary. The engine, transmission, clutch, and hydraulic systems were fully restored, and the car received new rubber, grommets and seals. The upholstery was restored by our master trimmers, with other parts & components restored in proper colors & finishes, using many NOS parts.

1963 Jaguar E-Type
Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe

This stunning E-Type is fresh from an extensive mechanical restoration carried out by Classic Showcase in 2020, and also performed numerous aesthetic improvements to the interior & exterior of the Coupe. The XKE was then painted with base coat, clear coat, and finally wet sanded and buffed to a striking finish. All the bright work presents wonderful and is finely polished, complementing the paint beautifully.
