Currently undergoing restoration to our Show-Driver level standards, this matching-numbers 1967 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe is being transformed into a highly personalized and exceptionally well-appointed example tailored specifically to its owner's vision. Accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the coupe retains its original engine, cylinder head, and four-speed gearbox, providing an excellent foundation for the restoration now progressing through the assembly stage.
While preserving the timeless character that made the E-Type an automotive icon, the owner elected to incorporate a number of distinctive features inspired by the earliest E-Type models. Among the most striking elements is a custom Suede Green interior crafted using premium Connolly leather sourced from England. The interior will also feature matching wool headliner material, coordinating vinyl and moquette trim, and beautifully tailored Wilton wool carpeting throughout. To further capture the appearance of the earliest E-Types, the car is being fitted with clamshell bucket seats and a three-piece alloy dashboard, giving the finished interior a unique period-correct character rarely seen on later 4.2-liter cars.

The restoration itself has been comprehensive. The body was stripped to bare metal, mounted on a rotisserie, metal finished, and carefully prepared before moving into primer, paint, and final assembly. Mechanically, the Jaguar is receiving a full engine rebuild along with the restoration of its fuel, cooling, electrical, and hydraulic systems. A number of thoughtful upgrades have also been incorporated to enhance reliability and driving enjoyment, including an alloy radiator with auxiliary cooling fan, adjustable shock absorbers, heavy-duty torsion bars, a quartz clock conversion, and a discreet RetroSound digital audio system.
Although the completed coupe will be restored to a very high show-driver standard, the owner's intention is not concours competition, but rather regular enjoyment on the road. Combining the elegance of an early Series I E-Type with carefully selected upgrades and exceptional craftsmanship throughout, this restoration is shaping up to be a particularly striking example of Jaguar's legendary Fixed Head Coupe.
