SATURDAY/SUNDAY, JUNE 6-7, 2026

Central Park, Huntington Beach

The first weekend of June brought together two significant milestones for Southern California automotive enthusiasts, as the Jaguar Owners Club of Los Angeles celebrated its 70th Anniversary Concours while the Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance marked its 40th anniversary. Held at Huntington Beach Central Park on June 6-7, 2026, the two-day event once again attracted an impressive gathering of collector automobiles, motorcycles, enthusiasts, and families for a memorable weekend dedicated to automotive history, preservation, and community.

Held on the scenic grounds behind the Huntington Beach Central Library, the Huntington Beach Concours continues to be one of Southern California's most anticipated automotive gatherings. The 2026 event featured a diverse display of classic automobiles, motorcycles, hot rods, custom vehicles, and specialty marques, while also supporting the Children's Resource Center at the Huntington Beach Central Library. This year's celebration featured automotive journalist and KABC-TV automobile expert Dave Kunz as Grand Marshal, along with live entertainment, vendors, and a variety of attractions that contributed to the event's welcoming atmosphere.

Saturday's activities focused on the Jaguar Owners Club of Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance, which commemorated the club's 70th anniversary. One of the oldest and most respected Jaguar clubs in North America, JOCLA continues to play an important role in preserving and promoting the Jaguar marque through concours events, technical programs, and enthusiast activities. Jaguar owners from throughout the region gathered to display and evaluate some of the finest examples of the breed, creating an impressive showcase of Jaguar history spanning multiple generations.

The concours field showcased an impressive cross-section of Jaguar history, ranging from pre-war and post-war saloons to sporting XK models, E-Types, and modern Jaguars. Notable entries included David and Windley Putnam's 1950 Mark V Saloon, Robert Baumhefner's 1960 Mark 2 Saloon, Jacob Cherub's 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster, and several outstanding modified and preservation-class entries. The diversity of the field highlighted both the depth of Jaguar's heritage and the dedication of enthusiasts who continue to preserve and enjoy these remarkable automobiles.

Representing Classic Showcase at this year's event was Tom and Debbie Krefetz's recently completed 1950 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster. Making one of its first major concours appearances following restoration, the XK120 attracted considerable attention from judges, participants, and spectators throughout the weekend. Competing in the C2/120 class, the car achieved a perfect score of 100.000 points, one of only two perfect scores recorded during the concours. The accomplishment reflects the quality of the restoration as well as the authenticity, presentation, and condition of this rare and historically significant Jaguar. Throughout the restoration and preparation process, Classic Showcase utilized professional detailing products from Mothers, helping ensure the vehicle's finish and presentation reflected the same attention to detail found throughout the restoration itself.
