San Marino Motor Classic 2026
The San Marino Motor Classic returned to the beautiful
grounds of Lacy Park on June 14, 2026, bringing together an exceptional
collection of automobiles for one of Southern California's most prestigious
automotive gatherings. Known for its carefully curated display of significant
collector vehicles, the annual event once again welcomed enthusiasts,
restorers, collectors, and automotive historians for a day dedicated to the
appreciation of automotive craftsmanship, design, and preservation.
Nestled within the manicured landscape of San Marino's
historic 30-acre park, the event provided an ideal setting for hundreds of
remarkable automobiles representing more than a century of motoring history.
From elegant pre-war classics and luxury touring cars to sports cars, race
cars, and concours-level restorations, attendees were treated to a diverse and
impressive display of automotive excellence. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged
visitors to spend time with owners, discuss restoration projects, and enjoy
many of the rare and historically significant vehicles that are seldom seen
outside of major concours events.
Since its founding in 2011, the San Marino Motor Classic has
established itself as one of the region's premier concours events, while also
supporting a variety of charitable organizations. The event continues to
attract an outstanding field of automobiles from across the country, with
entrants competing in numerous classes and special award categories. The
combination of world-class automobiles, beautiful surroundings, and a strong
charitable mission has made the San Marino Motor Classic a favorite destination
among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Representing Classic Showcase at this year's event was the
recently restored 1950 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster. Fresh from its recent
concours appearances and continuing to demonstrate the quality of its
restoration and presentation, the rare alloy-bodied Jaguar attracted
considerable attention throughout the day. Widely regarded as one of the most
important early Jaguar models, the XK120 Alloy Roadster remains highly sought
after for its lightweight construction, racing pedigree, and timeless design.
Competing among an outstanding field of automobiles, the
XK120 Alloy Roadster earned First in Class honors, a rewarding accomplishment
at an event known for its exceptionally high standards and strong competition.
The award reflects not only the quality of the restoration, but also the
ongoing care, preparation, and attention to detail required to present a
vehicle at this level. Throughout the day, the Jaguar drew admiration from
fellow collectors, spectators, and judges, serving as a fitting representative
of both the marque and the craftsmanship that went into its preservation.

Beyond the awards and recognition, the San Marino Motor
Classic provided another opportunity to reconnect with friends throughout the
collector car community, share automotive stories, and celebrate the passion
that continues to sustain the hobby. Events such as these remind us that while
trophies and awards are certainly appreciated, the true value lies in
preserving automotive history and enjoying these remarkable machines alongside
fellow enthusiasts.
As another successful San Marino Motor Classic came to a
close, the event once again demonstrated why it remains one of the most
respected concours gatherings in the region. We invite you to enjoy the photo

The San Marino Motor Classic was established in 2011 by co-founders Aaron Weiss, Ben Reiling and Paul Colony held in Lacy Park, an exclusive 30-acre park in San Marino. It is the successor of the Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance. In its inaugural year, the exhibition was a hybrid of a Classic Car Club of America Grand Classic and a contemporary Concours d’Elegance. More than 220 Brass Era, Depression Era and Post-War luxury and sports cars were showcased attracting more than 3,000 spectators. The 2011 event raised more than $120,000 for its beneficiary charities, the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA and the Rotary Club of San Marino. Entrants compete in 30 classes including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Corvettes and Mercedes-Benz, to name a few. Judging takes place at the end of the day in which seven awards are given, plus first, second and third place awards given per class. Entrants and spectators are welcome to experience various events preceding and following the dazzling event, including a gala. Proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, the Rotary Club of San Marino, and Cancer Support Community Greater San Gabriel Valley. The San Marino Motor Classic is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Deductions may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your deductibility.
