SPRING 2026 NEWSLETTER • VOLUME 82
About Arizona Car Week

Each January, Arizona Auto Week brings together many of the most prominent auction houses, collectors, and enthusiasts in the country for a series of events that help define the direction of the collector car market for the year ahead. Anchored by major auctions including Barrett-Jackson and RM Sotheby’s, the week has become widely regarded as an early barometer for market trends, offering insight into buyer confidence, emerging areas of interest, and the overall strength of the hobby.

For our team, Scottsdale and Arizona Car Week remains one of the most important and anticipated events on the calendar. Alongside Monterey Car Week, it represents one of the premier gatherings in the collector car world, bringing together a broad cross-section of vehicles, from entry-level classics to historically significant, investment-grade automobiles. The accessibility of the auctions, combined with the scale of the events, continues to make Scottsdale a unique and valuable experience for both seasoned collectors and those newer to the hobby.

As in previous years, we attended Arizona Auto Week to observe the market firsthand, connect with industry colleagues, and follow the results across multiple venues. This year’s events reflected a steady and active market, with strong participation and consistent results reinforcing a sense of stability heading into 2026. What follows is a closer look at two of the week’s most prominent auctions, Barrett-Jackson and RM Sotheby’s, and the role each continues to play within the broader collector car landscape.

In addition to Barrett-Jackson, auction houses such as RM Sotheby’s, Bonhams, and Gooding & Company presented highly curated selections of significant collector cars, attracting buyers focused on rarity, provenance, and originality. At WestWorld, Barrett-Jackson’s interactive elements and large-scale presentation continued to draw strong crowds, reinforcing its appeal to both seasoned collectors and newer enthusiasts. From live bidding and display areas to premium viewing spaces, the event maintained a level of energy and accessibility that remains a defining characteristic of Scottsdale each year. Taken together, the combination of high-volume auctions, curated sales, and enthusiast-driven experiences continues to make Arizona Auto Week one of the most dynamic and influential gatherings in the collector car calendar.

BONHAMS AUCTIONS- JANUARY 23, 2026

Bonhams returned to Scottsdale with a focused and thoughtfully curated auction that emphasized quality over volume, presenting a selection of collector cars that appealed to buyers seeking distinctive and well-preserved examples. Known for its understated approach and carefully assembled consignments, Bonhams continues to offer an alternative to the larger, higher-volume auctions held during Arizona Auto Week.

This year’s sale featured a mix of pre-war classics, European sports cars, and select modern offerings, with particular strength seen in vehicles supported by strong provenance and originality. While more intimate in scale, the auction maintained steady engagement, with bidders responding to well-presented examples that aligned with current collector preferences.

As part of the broader Scottsdale Auto Week landscape, Bonhams plays an important role in showcasing cars that may not always appear in larger venues, providing opportunities for collectors focused on rarity, history, and long-term significance. The consistency of its offerings and measured pace continue to make it a respected presence within the week’s lineup of auctions.
