Description

(SOLD) The Porsche 911 was introduced in 1963 as a replacement for the 356. It was a larger and more powerful car with a 6 cylinder boxer engine versus the 4 cylinder that came in the 356.

History

This early 911 has recently been restored by Classic Showcase to a show-driver level. During the restoration process Classic Showcase did metal work, fitted all panels, and repainted the body silver base coat / clear coat color sanded and buffed by our skilled craftsman. All parts repainted off the car, engine rebuilt by our master technicians, fitted with standard pistons and cylinders. A new clutch system was installed, breaks rebuilt, new roters, carburetors rebuilt, new rubber, seals, hardware, headliner replaced, new windshield, and complete new interior and carpet created and installed by our Classic Showcase upholstery department. This Porsche is an early short wheelbase 1966 911 Coupe. It has a five speed transmission, and two Weber carburetors. This is a very rare and collectible Porsche. The car runs and drives great. The transmission goes through the gears and the brakes stop well. Blaupunkt AM FM. The engine has its original aluminum engine cases and is equipped with the proper 901 5 speed transmission, KYB shocks, original wood steering wheel, and dash. All the Glass is in good condition.
