Description
(SOLD) This matching numbers 1965 Jaguar XKE OTS is Carmen Red/Black with a Black Cloth Stay Fast Top. It has the original 9,605 miles and is probably one of the lowest original mileages on any restored Jaguar in the World. This Jaguar also comes with the Heritage Certificate of Authenticity documenting the original color combination and showing that the numbers match. The car has been driven very little since the original restoration and is a great contender for JCNA showings. This car features an AM/FM Blaupunkt radio. At Classic Showcase we have performed a preservation restoration to a superb original car. The body was refitted as needed and the engine compartment was cleaned and painted, the carburetor domes were wet sanded and polished as well as the valve covers. A complete service was performed to include changing all fluids, new porcelain manifolds were installed as well as a heat shield and hoses. All systems were serviced and brought to proper specifications. The seat bases were restored and the seats were outfitted with new leather as well as the center console and radio console. In addition, the steering wheel was restored, the convertible top was refitted and 4 new 185/15 tires and new wire wheels were installed. The vehicle also received a complete detail inside and out. It is rare to find a 9,605 mile car in this exceptional condition ready for a new collector.
History
This Series I 4.2 E-type is the most desirable of all the series with a fully synchronized 4 speed transmission, covered headlights, toggle switches on the dash, comfortable bucket seats, center consol, and arm rest. This makes the best driver and the most collectable for an investment.
