(SOLD) Every component has been rebuilt or replaced in this Show/Diver by Classic Showcase. No expense was spared in this incredible restoration. The craftsmanship is superb as well as the fit. Superior performance and comfort was our goal in restoring this classic E-Type Coupe, and the result is the ultimate driving machine with some fantastic options. The 4.2 engine was rebuilt to factory specification with new pistons, bearings, valves, guides, seals, timing chain, water pump, head completely rebuilt, rebuilt carburetors, new aluminum radiator with 2 fans, new clutch system, all new brake components and lines, new drive shaft, new Koni adjustable front shocks, gas tank restored and epoxy sealed, new fuel pump, new high-torque starter, new high-output alternator, all electrical components restored or new, battery tender, new optima battery, new wire harness, gauges, knobs, switches rebuilt, re-screened or replaced, new exhaust system and heat-treated manifolds, new heater system and returns, new custom built, fitted, and installed A/C system, rear end completely rebuilt as well as a brand new 5-speed transmission. The body was rotisserie restored, stripped to bare metal, metal finished, fitted, painted base coat and clear coat, then color sanded and buffed to a superb finish. All new rubber seals, grommets, and gaskets were used. The trim and bright work has been replaced or replated with all new interior, headliner, carpet, panels, and dash by the quality craftsmen at Classic Showcase. In addition the seats are modified Series II leather seats for additional leg and back room. This was a comprehensive restoration with much time spent on detail and quality. This is one of the finest examples for sale in the world today. A DVD movie of the restoration process comes with the car.

History

The Series 1 4.2 is the most user friendly, best driver and most collectable of the E-Types. These wonderful cars had a 4.2 liter engine with 3SU carburetors and a fully synchronized transmission. Some of the features of this model are covered headlights, toggle switches, full instrumentation with styling and design that was way ahead of its time, center console, arm rests, and full synchronization transmission.
