Description
(SOLD) This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible has had a cosmetic and mechanical restoration by the previous owner. This vehicle has a good solid body. Restoration included new paint, new interior, new top, new tires, a newly rebuilt brake system, new tie rod ends, inner and outer ratios arm bushing in front, bump stops, pinion seal in differential, rebuilt carburetor, a major tune up, serviced transmission, and new stainless steel exhaust system. This Falcon is also equipped with a ‘260 Challenger’ V-8 engine. This classic automobile was part of a private classic car collection and would make a great vehicle to own, show, and drive. This Ford also features the original working AM push button radio and electric convertible top.
History
In 1963, the first year of the convertible, an upscale sporty version of the compact Futura was offered. With new thin-wall casting and an upgraded V- 8 engine, this vehicle was a great car to drive. This Ford Falcon Futura was produced at the Ford factory assembly plant in Lorain, Ohio.
