History

The most collectible years for the Series 1 E-Type are the 1965-1967 4.2 liter models. These models feature improved drivability, handling, and comfort, and high collectability. These XKEs feature sought-after items such as covered headlights, Triple SU carbs, 4 speed synchronized transmission, improved braking system, comfortable bucket seats, center console with arm rests, toggle switches on the dash, and much more. This XKE example numbered 1E11911, was purchased in Los Angeles and was a very original example; It is one family owned since new, and an original California car with California Black plates. It is a remarkably original surviving E-type with only 71,000 original miles, and had all original paint, interior, and chrome before it's restoration by Classic Showcase, who made it the National Champion it is today.
