(SOLD) This 1980 Porsche 911 SC Coupe is a great example. It is a one-owner original Southern California car in excellent condition. This Porsche comes complete with books, original like-new tool kit and service records. It features a 5 speed manual transmission, chrome alloy wheels, leather sport seats, driving lights, power windows, power sunroof, A/C, cruise control, Clifford Alarm system, Yamaha stereo AM/FM cassette with front and rear factory speakers, Herschman electric antenna and Alpine amp. Body fit, glass and paint is all in excellent condition. The paint was re-done in 2005 in its factory color. It drives perfectly. All systems operate properly. No accidents. This car has been meticulously cared for and well maintained. The engine was regularly serviced and received new head studs and spring tensioners in 2007. History

In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the "911SC". It featured a 3.0 liter engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5 speed 915 transmission. This was the start of what are considered the most reliable 911's yet by collectors. Porsche AG decided the long-term fate of the 911. In 1979 Porsche had made plans to replace the 911 with their new 928. Sales of the 911 remained so strong however, that Porsche revised its strategy and decided to inject new life into the 911 editions.
