Description
(SOLD) This E-Type Roadster comes in a spectacular color combination of Opalescent Silver Blue with a Dark Blue interior and presents in good condition. It is an original car that has benefited from minimal ownership and would make a great candidate for restoration. It runs very well, with no smoke coming out of the exhaust. It might require servicing, or replacing, the water pump and/or radiator. The cooling system should be investigated as it has not been running at a hot temperature, or for that long. We would say to plan on minor services once it has been driven a lot. There are some old service records, even from the Jaguar dealership in FL, and it comes with an owner’s manual. This car is extremely original and a great candidate to take it to any level you wish to go to as it has very good bones.
History
All 1964 E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension, and with torsion bar front ends, and four-wheel disc brakes, in-board at the rear, all were power-assisted. The Series 1 can be recognized by glass-covered headlights (up to 1967), small "mouth" opening at the front, signal lights and tail-lights above bumpers, and exhaust tips under the number plate in the rear. It has a 4-speed transmission, covered headlights, toggle switches on the dash, and the early-style leather-upholstered bucket seats.
